Lauren

Lauren has over 10 years’ teaching experience, both tutoring and in schools. She worked in Hong Kong for 3 years, preparing students for 11+, 13+ and the ISEB Pretest examinations, teaching English, Maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Lauren has worked with students in both group and 1:1 settings, in-person and online.

Lauren has a wealth of experience working with students whose first language is not English and has been recognised for her work with ESL students in school. She has also worked with students with a mixture of SEND requirements and is confident adapting content to ensure it is accessible to all. Lauren uses a range of teaching methods, including diagrams, questioning and worked examples, to ensure her students understand the content. She has a particular focus on ‘explain’ questions, ensuring students are equipped with the key words and skills to answer any type of GCSE question.

Lauren works with students up to GCSE level for Maths, including Further Maths, and can provide specialist help in verbal and non-verbal reasoning in preparation for 11+ and 13+ examinations.

Lauren will be offering online and face-to-face tuition in the Harrogate area.
