Meet the Team / Our Secondary Team
Isobel is a secondary English teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Education and a first-class honours degree in English Literature from the University of Sheffield. Her passion for English was inspired by her own secondary school teachers, motivating her to pursue a career in education and help students develop the same enjoyment and confidence in the subject.
She specialises in supporting students from KS3 through to GCSE in both English Language and English Literature, and also has significant experience teaching A-level English Language at KS5. Alongside her classroom teaching, she has designed schemes of learning at her school in Leeds, mentored trainee teachers on placement and delivered targeted GCSE intervention classes in both Language and Literature.
Her tutoring approach is structured, supportive and adaptable, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual learning needs. She combines strong subject knowledge with a focus on building confidence, developing analytical skills and helping students make clear, consistent progress towards their academic goals.
Isobel will be offering lessons online and face-to-face in and around Wakefield and Leeds.
